This free professional development webinar for Student Services professionals in higher education, presented in partnership with TASO (Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education), helps you build awareness and knowledge of the Student Mental Health Evidence Hub, including its evidence-based toolkit, examples of practice and evaluation guidance.

Find out how the Student Mental Health Evidence Hub can guide evidence-informed practice and build the evaluation capacity of student mental health interventions. Take the opportunity to think about your own interventions and ask questions about this new resource.

Join us to:

  • Get a clear understanding of the hub and how to use it to inform your approaches to student mental health support.
  • Understand the importance of using evidence to inform practice and how to generate more robust evaluation.
  • Learn about developing evidence-based interventions to support student mental health.
  • Learn more about approaches for evaluating interventions.

This free event takes place online on Thursday 14 December 2023 from 09:30 to 10:30 (GMT).

This event is hosted using Zoom. We'll send you a link to join the meeting when you register.

You'll receive recordings of the event sessions afterwards (subject to successful recordings), as well as any presentations or resources. The recordings won't include discussion sessions, workshops, ‘Chatham House rule’ sections or presentation sessions that speakers prefer not to share in this way.

Speakers

Tatjana Damjanovic

Tatjana is the Research Officer on the Student Mental Health Project at TASO. She has a background working as a mental health practitioner and fundraiser prior to moving into research. Tatjana holds an MA in European Studies from University College London, with a focus on qualitative research on women’s mental health. She is also currently training as a humanistic psychotherapist.

Dr Helen Lawson

Helen is the Research Manager at TASO. She has over twenty years of experience in the education sector, working on a variety of research and evaluation projects. Helen has a PhD in Citizenship Education, an MRes (Education and Society) and an MSc in Education for Sustainability. Helen has a strong interest in social justice issues and has spent a number of years living and working in Latin America.
