AMOSSHE National Conference 2020Intersectional approaches to target mental health support for students: online discussion

In this free interactive discussion session Emma Douthwaite (Safeguarding and Welfare Manager, Office for Students) provides an overview of the Office for Students’ regulatory approach in advancing equality of opportunity in relation to student mental health. Emma also highlights the importance of embedding evaluation into your whole institution strategy.

Following this, Emma and Nkasi Stoll (PhD student) discuss intersectional approaches to supporting student mental health, particularly focusing on the links between ethnicity and mental health. Then you can take part in a discussion-based workshop on this topic, with an opportunity to work through examples, identify challenges and share practice with colleagues.
