Workshop
The University of Birmingham runs a Student Content Shaper programme that empowers students by providing them with part-time work during their studies, whilst enabling the institution to share key themes and messages delivered by students. Students are supported and paid to create authentic content for communication channels, including social media.
This workshop explores how the programme works, how they select the right students during recruitment, what happens when they get it wrong, and ways to get it right. This programme is innovative because it fosters an opportunity for you to think differently about your content and be more creative with what you present to students. It inspires by creating a platform for change that will empower you, especially if you’re having your own struggles navigating the changing student environment, to try something new (without fully re-inventing the wheel) or to shape your existing projects or programmes.
The Student Content Shaper programme invites change and encourages us to think differently about our messaging, to support students better and provide greater connections with them.
