The Irish National Best Practice Guidelines for Peer-Led Transition Programmes, officially published in the summer of 2025, identify and promote the change mechanisms that optimise student belonging and student success for student volunteers, as well as the students they support. Theoretical concepts are aligned with existing research and practical examples to offer guidance for Student Services professionals, whether they’re designing a pilot programme, evaluating a long-standing service or are anywhere in between.
This session walks you through the guidelines, and points you to useful resources and materials that you can use to develop or enhance your peer-led transition and support programmes.
