In Student Services we know that support needs don’t disappear outside of normal office hours or beyond campus boundaries. Incidents related to health, wellbeing, violence and harassment regularly arise in the evening, overnight and at weekends, often involving students who don’t live in university-owned accommodation. How can you provide proportionate, responsive and timely support to tackle mounting demand out of hours? What should your Student Services out of hours model be like? How can you manage the impact on your staff teams and yourself? Who can you collaborate with at your university and in the wider local community to provide support? Join us to explore a range of ideas, insights and examples, and work with your peers to evaluate what might work well in your own context.
