Fees

Find out how much it costs to join our community.

AMOSSHE membership lasts for an academic year (1 August to 31 July). You can only pay for one year at a time. If your organisation joins AMOSSHE over halfway through the academic year (so from 1 February 2025), the cost of organisation membership is halved. This applies to organisation membership only, not additional members, individuals or student members.

Our membership fees vary depending on the membership category applicable to your organisation or role. Explore our membership options to find the one that is most suitable.

UK providers with >50% HE provision

Join AMOSSHE if your organisation is a UK-based HE provider, and at least 50% of your student population studies HE.

Membership is tiered depending on how many full-time equivalent (FTE) HE students your organisation has. Here's how the membership is tiered:

FTE HE students  Membership tier  Number of named members
One to 3,000  Small and specialist  Lead
 3,000 to 10,000  Tier 1  Lead + 1 named core member
 10,000 to 20,000  Tier 2  Lead + 2 named core members
Over 20,000  Tier 3  Lead + 3 named core members

Membership includes:

  • One named lead member who represents your organisation for membership votes, and usually manages the membership for your organisation. Lead members should be staff in leadership roles in Student Services.
  • Any number of additional named members, for an extra cost per individual. These memberships are invoiced directly to the individual member. They get all the benefits of AMOSSHE membership, except that they can't take part in membership votes. Additional members may include staff outside of the Student Services department, but they must be associated with a member organisation.

Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 membership also includes at least one named core member in addition to the lead member. Named core members get all the benefits of AMOSSHE membership as part of their organisation's core membership cost, except that they can't take part in membership votes.

Once you've applied, our Vice Chair (Operations) considers your application, and AMOSSHE will advise you of the outcome within four weeks of receiving it.
